AALA Scholarships- See College Office for application, due 2/24/2017.

Ronald Reagan Scholarship: Scholarships up to $40,000 for high school seniors. Application deadline is January 4th, 2018.

James Baldwin Scholars Program– This scholarship is for talented students who are transitioning for a year to college. Acceptance will allow students to attend Hampshire College with all fees taken care of. Common application due January 15, 2018 & Interview and James Baldwin Personal Statement due February 1st, 2018.

Jefferson Scholars Foundation– This is a merit-based, fully funded scholarship to the University of Virginia. Go to the college office to request for information to be nominated. Deadline for nominations is December 1, 2017.

USC Bovard Scholars: Applications will open early November. Only for Juniors with a 4.0 or higher. Deadline is Deb.16th, 2018.

California Association of Collectors Scholarship –http://cacesf.org– Juniors and Seniors may apply. Essay required on the importance of establishing and maintaining good credit.  Due 3/30/2017

Cleveland HS PTSA Scholarship- A scholarship for graduating seniors with a 2.0 GPA or higher, who is a member of the PTSA. Applications are in the College Office, applicants MUST have a current membership card for the PTSA.

Stokes Educational Scholarship Program: Open for high school seniors who are minorities, planning to major in computer science or computer/electrical engineering. For information, check out the website.

Council of Black Administrators– $2,000 dollar scholarship for black students planning to attend a 4 year college or University. Application due February 5, 2016. Come to the college office for more information.

Edison Scholars Program– seniors , GPA of 3.0-4.0. Live or attend a public or private high school serviced by Southern California Edison, plan to attend a 4 year accredited college or university in the U.S., plan to enroll in fulltime undergraduate studies in majors listed, and show demonstrated financial need.Due date is 2/1/2017.

Jewish Vocational Scholarship-Jewish scholarships ranging from $500-$5,000. Due date is March 31, 2017. Further info on website.

William L. Harry Scholarship– Through the Sierra Pacific Fly-fishers Foundation, for students interested in fisheries, natural resources, oceanography or a related field. April 15, 2016. Visit Website for more info.

Foot Locker Scholar Athletes Program-$20,000 scholarship for Senior student athletes with a gpa of 3.0 or higher. Application closes December 15, 2017.

Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards– up to $3000 in educational grants. Must be of Latino descent. The deadline is October 15th, 2017.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund – the nation’s largest not-for-profit organization supporting Hispanic higher education – application open September 1st through December 15th

GE Reagan Foundation – An online application scholarship, awarded to 20 students. The reward is a total of $40,000 that can be used over a period of 6 years. The deadline is January 7, 2017.

SHPE Foundation – scholarships offered to Latino students pursuing degrees in math, science and engineering

Sierra Pacific Flyfishers – awarding $1000 scholarships to applicants interested in environmental, marine, fisheries, or outdoor related areas. Due date: APril 15, 2017

LULAC National Scholarship Fund – scholarship for youth in underserved communities to make college enrollment possible

Los Angeles Clippers Foundation– scholarship for youth planning to enroll in a four-year college in Fall of 2017, who have shown academic achievement and stellar extracurricular activities.

Milken Scholars — scholarship for students who have academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, as well as school and community service. These students have also overcome social, economic, or other obstacles. (You need to be nominated first by Dec. 8th and application materials must be received by January 31, 2018.)

Boston University Investigative Journalism Workshop– Next summer and will begin June 26. Students who apply and pay in full by January 31, 2017, can receive a $200 discount on tuition.

Magnet Schools of America College Scholarship-$1000 college scholarship reward. Must graduate with a 3.5 unweighted GPA or above. Applied to a technical, community, or four-year college/university. Due February 24, 2017

Asian Pacific Youth Leadership Project– Open to juniors and seniors, a free statewide conference in Sacramento. Deadline is November 17th, 2015. No money awarded.

Alliance of Asian/Pacific Administrators– scholarship for Asian and Asian-Pacific Island students who are first in their families to attend college. Students must have maintained at least a 2.5 grade point average and evidence of good character, citizenship, and school/community service. Application must be mailed by Friday, January 28, 2018. Come to the College Office to receive the application form.

Bezos Scholars Program: Apply by February 10, 2017. joinbsp.org.

Bbyo: www.bbyosummer.ogn for summer 2017. Jewish teens have an opportunity to connect to other Jewish teens from across the world in countries such as Africa.

Career Technical Education Scholarship (Rotary Club of LA)– scholarships for $1,000 for students interested in a vocational program and planning to attend a Community College or Vocational Education Program. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA and community service experience. Application must be mailed before 5:00 PM by Tuesday, January 20th, 2015 to the LA Rotary Office.

Rotary Club of LA Scholarship– scholarships for students interested in pursuing a four-year college degree program. The minimum requirements include an unweighted 3.0 GPA or above, the completion of the A-G courses, and the completion of either the SAT or ACT. Application must be mailed to the LA Rotary Office by 5:00PM on Tuesday, January 20th, 2017

Human Relations Scholarship– The organizations, AAPA, AJE, COBA, and CMAA awards three scholarships to eligible seniors who have demonstrated leadership in promoting intergroup/intercultural relations and/or have through their actions, significantly reduced intergroup tension at their school or community. Students must have maintained a 3.0 grade point average. Deadline for application is Friday, January 23, 2017.

COBA Scholarship Awards– COBA will award $1000-$2000 scholarships to qualified Black students who have a GPA minimum of 3.00 and are planning to attend a four year college or university. It is a one-time award. Application Deadline is Friday, January 23, 2017.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Scholarship-Scholarship opportunity for African American high school seniors within LA county with at least a 3.5 gpa and a SAT score that is in the 90th percentile or higher. Applications are due Saturday, March 24th, 2018.

Summer of Art 2017 at Otis College of Art and Design – This intensive, four-week, pre-college program is for individuals 15 and older who wish to study at one of the top art and design colleges in the country. Serious young artists seeking to strengthen and enhance their art and design skills, as well as students with limited art training, are invited to participate.

Antioch College – Antioch is offering admitted first generation college students the opportunity to attend Antioch College for four years on a full tuition scholarship. The application deadline is February 1, 2017. Please email Mrs. Drell at sfdrell@aol.com.

SCAD Distinguished Scholars Awards – Through the office of admission, SCAD administers a number of scholarships for entering students. Scholarship recipients are expected to be particularly strong and positive leaders at SCAD, excelling academically and representing SCAD well within the community. Scholarships are available to both United States citizens and non-U.S. citizens and are awarded to entering students prior to first-quarter attendance.

 Black College Expo – Our mission is to curtail the high school dropout rate and increase degree and/or certificate enrollment among underserved and underrepresented youth. Our goal is to get students excited about education and provide the pathways and resources for students to make positive career choices.

The Spirit of American Youth Scholarship – Qualifying students will exhibit academic potential, provide examples of how they’ve contributed to the betterment of their communities, and complete an essay based on how they would invest in their communities to create a brighter future for the next generation. The value of each scholarship is $10,000.

Southern California Garden Club Scholarship – The Southern California Garden Club proudly announces the availability of two $1,000 college scholarships for 2015. The scholarships are available to outstanding high school seniors or college students who reside within Los Angeles, Ventura or San Bernardino Counties. To receive the scholarship, a student must be accepted and enrolled in a two or four-year college or university in a program focusing on Horticulture, Botany or a related major before the end of 2017.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship– Applications accepted from September to November. May receive up to $40,000 per year, college planning support, ongoing advising, and teh opportunity to network with the larger JKCF Scholar community. Requires at least a 3.5 cumulative unweighted GPA and standardized test scores in the top 15% (SAT: 1200+; ACT composite 26+).

Council of Mexican American Administrators Scholarship- 3.50 LAUSD GPA, enrolling in a 4 yr. college Sept. 2017, one parent must be of Hispanic descent, $2,000 each,  Due Date, February  22, 2017. Please pick up the application in the College Office.

Ithaca College’s Martin Luther King Scholarship– Scholars receive a minimum of $25,000 and in some cases up to full tuition annually in both merit-and need-based aid. The application requires two essays. All information can be found at my.ithaca.edu.

Larry H. Parker College Scholarship 2017– Must be a senior in high school and have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 Candidates must submit and complete the application package through The Law Offices of Larry H Parker website.
